Did You Know…. Georgia Printco has the capability to print white ink? What does this mean? This means we can reverse print an image on a clear material, then print a layer of white ink and then print the same image right side up and your end product is a double sided print, that is only printed on one side… Ok, great, but when/where would this be used you might ask… think static cling… restaurants window advertisements that are visible from the inside and outside…. Talk about taking visual advertising to a new level

Holiday Generic Banners - 3x6'
Okay, for those of you who have already read the thread on facebook and twitter… sorry for beating a dead horse. However, for those who are just hearing the news… I am excited to inform you of the best money making deal we’ve done for you yet! I have designed 6 different holiday themed banners that we are going to mass produce and offer to everyone for $12.50 each. They are 3×6′ in size (there is one vertical one at 6×3′) and are FULL COLOR with hems. Today has been quite a busy day. We have the company Christmas party coming up and I’ve been organizing our ever-growing list, which is long and time consuming. However, in the end it is SO worth it because Georgia Printco DOES throw the best parties! I have also spent some time getting our “Made in America” design down and infiltrating it into our system. The website won’t have it for a little while, that is another beast I will have to spend some time researching before I try to tackle it. The new design will incorporate our logo as well as some design/typographical elements that really elaborates on how much of the production at Georgia Printco in based in the USA. We want to make sure our clients know that the products they are buying are not only printed in America on our American made machines, but the materials we use are also produced by American companies. This is something you can also take to your clients… the entire cycle of buying and selling American made products is important, especially in this slow economic time. Anyhow, I’ll go more in depth on that subject later. We all know what you’re really wanting to read
For those of you who entered the Georgia Printco drawing for the Santa Standee, your anticipation is about to be over….
Winner Selected for Santa Standee!
This is how it happened- I took the names from all the companies that submitted their information and I printed them out… I then cut them out and folded them all up and placed them in the KFC chicken bucket that I mentioned last week. After a few moments of trying to figure out who should be the honored and official person to select the winning name I happily decided that no one else would be better at the job, then our very own CEO, Sheldon Hurst! So without telling him who was entered I told him not to peek, and to quickly pull out one piece of paper from the bucket… & VWALLA! We had a winner. I would like to congratulate Signs Now-299 in Newington, CT. We will be contacting you sometime this week to go over details. We thank everyone who participated in the drawing and make sure to keep an eye on Georgia Printco… this will be the first contest of many. Make sure to let me know if you have any requests for future give-aways…. I’m all ears!

I’ve been working on getting the last of our KFC completed and it has been a long and tedious mission, but oh how wonderful it is to see the finished product We have completed the designs and printing of floor graphics, wallpaper, standees, banners, contour cut plexi-glass signs, amongst other things and the due date is here… the printers are shooting the last of it out and I’ll be happy to see everything together before it leaves the building.

Also, I haven’t forgotten (and I hope you haven’t either!) that we are a week away from our Santa standee give-away. I’ve worked on a couple other designs for it… I still don’t know which Santa I will go with yet, but I’m thinking I like this one better than the first. As a recap, it’ll be full size, high-res, contour cut with the base included. To get in the running, you just need to leave a comment on here or on facebook with your contact info. so I can let you know if your name is pulled. I’m thinking I’m going to use this KFC chicken bucket that I have sitting on my desk and let one of my fellow artist pull out a name. Gotta keep it fair!
Santa Standee - Possibility #2
I also sent out the reminder on the Same Day Shipping special. It has been quite a success, so make sure you’re able to get in on the action if you haven’t already. Its always nice when you can be the super hero and get a product out when NO ONE else could. Things like that stick in the minds of customers.. I know it sticks in mine when a company has been able to save me when I’ve been in a crunch… which normally happens around Christmas and is caused by my waiting to the LAST possible moment to place a gift order. While I was researching for my next promotional campaign I have run across a lot of great information on web marketing and the do’s / don’ts. I am going to be doing research for a web marketing presentation so I’ll share the wealth (of knowledge) as I come across it. Its been a crazy week, I’ll update you all next week on how KFC pans out and where we are on the Santa!

Well, I spoke with the “higher powers” here at Georgia Printco and they have approved of my online standee give-away. I am going to design a Santa Claus standee (full size!) have it contour cut (not to mention the print will be fan-freaking-tastic b/c we’ll do it on our flatbed printer) and put it up for grabs for one lucky company. To be included in the drawing you just need to either email me or submit a comment with your company info and on November 11th I will choose (out of a hat… or bucket, or whatever is close enough to my desk to work) the winner. Nothing catches a potential clients eye like something new or out of the ordinary, so think of this as a chance for free advertising… not to mention the winner will be publicly announced for all to hear… er, see. 
While were on the topic of the holidays, (Yes, I realize that has been an ongoing topic of mine, but do bear with me… I love this time of year) I am going to have a few different generic holiday banner designs that will be available for purchase. I haven’t yet done them so don’t rush the CSR’s just yet We are looking at $.60 a square foot for those holiday banners. That will make your holiday easier being able to offer a few standard banners to your customer. We all know how hard it can be for some of our customers to figure out what they’d like in regards to artwork, so we are making it SUPER easy. I’ll try to get those banner designs done before the end of the week and get them up here and on facebook for you to look at and start promoting. I will also probably send out a mass email with a link to print off for your customers to look at and choose from. We’re trying to keep it super easy so you don’t have to do much footwork. The less time you have to spend on the little things, the more other BIG things you can accomplish.
I have just started sending out the Holiday Theme Special, you should get that in your inbox sometime today – It will give you FREE Setup AND 48Hour turntime on ANY/EVERY order whose artwork is holiday related… so as long as your order has something that looks festive or mentions something about the holiday season, your in! Make sure to mention the special to your CSR to ensure that you get the special deal applied to your workorder.

Hello to all! I’m getting ready to send out yet another fabulous special created just for the holiday season. All holiday related jobs will get a nice little deduction on the price, but you’ll have to make sure and ask for it! The promotion will begin soon and I’ll make sure to update you on the specifics soon as I get the promotion email out. In other news… I was contemplating the idea of holding a GPC blog contest/giveaway, which I would promote ONLY on the internet. And what would the winning sign company get you might ask… The winner will get a FANTASTIC full size standee of santa clause to put up in their shop for the holiday season… or heck, you could sell it. Either way we are trying to promote our online presence and thought that a giveaway would be the perfect opportunity to say thanks to our twitter/facebook/blog followers. I’ve posted a picture of a potential standee image, but I’m still looking around. I haven’t decided if I want to do fun (like you see) or more contemporary (think, coca-cola santa). If you are interested and have an opinion I’d love to get some feedback on what you think of the idea and which santa claus you think would look best sitting in your shop
In other news…. the Same Day Shipping special has gotten underway and I’m very glad to see that it is helping quite a few of you. As I mentioned before, I know how frustrating it can be to lose a job/bid because of the turn-time so I really hope that offering the same day deal is able to get your foot in the door with a few last-minute potential clients.
Whats in our building? It looks like we have quite a few cool jobs going out, I saw Casey, one of our artist, work on a big Target job. We also have the KFC project still going, which will be finishing up here very soon. I’m going to try and purchase a new company camera soon so I can upload images as I mention them.
